“i Am” is a completely sung-through musical about identity, figuring out which parts of yourself you want to amplify or diminish when entering a new environment for the first time. Seven freshmen with distinct personalities; an Academic, a Dreamer, a Loner, an Outcast, a Partier, a Rebel, and a regular Guy, all move onto the same hall in college. They must navigate through their college experiences in their own ways. Dealing with intense subject matter including anxiety, depression, suicide, and heavy drug usage, it could be characterized as a “Breakfast Club for the soul”.
